Finally got around to watching Shakugan no Shana 1st Season.
I was originally going to watch this sooner, but I got sidetracked by other anime and school and well...Hey, I found time to watch it.
Yuji Sakai, a high school student, expected his very normal life to last forever. However, this expectation is quickly shattered one day while on his way home.He meets Shana, things happen, he meets more people, etc.
What I liked about Shakugan no Shana was how well paced it was. I found it moves forward without rushing the story like other anime. Many times I feel an anime is done before I blink, or the story isn't fleshed out enough, but Shakugan no Shana manages to do just that. I also noticed there isn't really any filler episodes(at least not that I noticed). Most of the episodes are about the story or help explain Shana's past better.
A nice part of the story is watching Shana figure out what love is. It is sad at parts, but the ending wraps it up very nicely.
The ending wasn't an ENDING TO END ALL, but was very nice and had it's climax. This is where I would say something like "I wish it was longer...." but hey!, there's a second season and a third one is being developed! Yeah!
The one thing I didn't like(personally) was the eyes.
They look....weird. But that's my opinion. They are really big, yet really detailed. This makes it look like the eyes are the most detailed part of the anime. Granted, it gives Shakugan no Shana it's style, but still...I don't like it. I find it very odd, but that's just me. Everything else is fine and looks great, but the eyes....Ok, enough of that. I don't like the eyes. Done.
My favorite character would have to be Rammie.
He is one cool old guy and his eyes looked the most normal. When I say them, I thought, "Is he in the right anime?" All and all, he is cool.
-Animation(for the most part)
Rating: Watch this.
